Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal break the 47-year-old record as soon as they step on the field
The Indian cricket team has started the first Test against South Africa in Visakhapatnam.

 Team India captain Virat Kohli has decided to bat first in this match after winning the toss.  After that, Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal started to open for the first time in the Test.

By lunch on the first day of the first Test, India scored 91 runs without losing a single wicket.  Until lunch, Rohit Sharma stood up for a superb half-century, while second opener Mayank Agarwal supported it well and scored 39 without being out.  Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal got off to a good start for Team India.  Playing in the opening over, the duo paid close attention to the first pitch and the ball well.  When both the players started playing, Rohit Sharma seemed more aggressive.

 That is why by lunch, he made 52 off his 84 balls and hit 5 fours and 6 sixes.  Rohit Sharma had even completed his half-century with sixes.  Rohit, who hit the crease for the first time as an opener, shot well.  Then Mayank scored 29 off 96 balls with 6 fours and 1 six.  In this match, the pair of Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal broke the 47-year-old record as soon as they stepped on the field.

 It was the first time in 47 years that a brand new Indian couple set foot on the field.  Earlier in 1972, Sunil Gavaskar and Ramnath Parker played a Test match against England in New Delhi.  Ramnath was making his debut when Gavaskar was playing in the Test opener.
